Skill Fortune Academy ("the Academy", "we", "us") runs the website skill-fortune-academy.web.app, the Skill Fortune Academy app, and the online courses linked from them. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. Information we collect

When you register for a course, we collect the details you type in, which may include:

your name, email address and mobile number;
age group, NCC details or level chosen, where a course asks for them;
for paid courses, the UPI transaction (UTR) number you enter to confirm payment.

While you study, a course may record your progress: lessons opened, quiz and test scores, forum posts and certificates issued.

We do not collect card or bank details. UPI payments are made in your own UPI app; we see only the reference number you share with us.

Enquiries. When you send an enquiry about our LMS, research, publication or event services, we collect the name, email, phone number, institution and message you type, and use them only to reply to you.

Visit statistics. To know how many people visit the site, our pages count page views and the links clicked. Each count records the page address, the website you came from, the type of device (mobile, tablet or desktop) and a random visitor number stored on your device under the name sfa_vid. It does not record your name, email or IP address, and we do not use cookies or third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, nothing is counted. You can clear the visitor number at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

2. How we use it

to give you access to the course you registered for and to activate paid courses after payment is confirmed;
to save your progress, show your results and issue your certificate;
to contact you about your course, such as activation emails and replies to your questions;
to improve our courses using overall usage patterns.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Where it is stored

Registration and progress records are stored in Google Workspace services (Google Sheets and Google Apps Script) managed by the Academy. Course websites are hosted on Google Firebase, Netlify and Cloudflare. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. Some details, such as your progress in a lesson, may also be saved in your own browser or device.

4. Who can see it

Only the Academy's course coordinators can see learner records. We share information only if the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your records for as long as your course access lasts and for up to two years afterwards so that certificates can be verified. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

6. Your choices and rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by writing to skillfortuneacademy@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Deleting your record will end access to course progress and certificates linked to it.

7. Children

Some courses, such as NCC preparation, may be used by learners under 18. They should register with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. We collect only the details needed to run the course.

8. Security

We use secure (HTTPS) connections and restrict access to learner records. No online service can be completely secure, so please do not share sensitive information we have not asked for.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and its effective date.
